The darkness of the ocean envelops your senses, embracing you with calm and serenity. The pressure of the water surrounds you like a gentle whisper, brushing your skin with a cool caress.
You sink into a deep stillness where only your heartbeat breaks the silence of the ocean.
Gently you feel yourself rise to the surface, leaving the mysterious depths of the sea behind.
Sunlight filters through the water, creating a golden glow that dances on the currents, enveloping you in its warm aura.
You feel reborn, as if every cell of your being is infused with the renewing energy of the sea.
Emerger is the first collection of watercolours I have made as such, to be presented in society and exhibited.
Painted between the months of May and September 2022, it has a lot of idigo blue, which for me meant leaving my fears behind and giving way to my 'visual artist self'.
